TYPE CARE

St. John’s Nursing Home provides three different types of care:

  • Short Term (Respite) Care.
  • Long Term Care.
  • End of Life Care.

There is a qualified, registered nurse on duty 24 hours a day, as well as a fully trained team of care staff.

LONG TERMS

If you plan to stay with us for a long time, our first aim will be to make your transition into the home as easy as possible.

We recommend that you pay us a visit to meet the manager and the on duty team and have a personalised tour of the facilities. Once you have decided on St John’s, the manager will organise to come and visit you for a detailed pre-assessment check. This is to ensure that we can facilitate your needs and to arrange provisions of any extra equipment to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

SHORT TERMS/ RESPITE

This is a short term placement starting minimum of 2 weeks with no maximum period.

A visit to view the home is encourage if you are able to but if in emergency situations we can accommodate you after the manager’s contact.

All care is delivered as for all residents. We meet your requirement for privacy, dignity, safety and encourage general physical wellness and your individuality.

We provide both residential and nursing care.

END OF LIFE CARE

Our nursing staff take pride in delivering gentle, loving care that will meet all of your wishes. We go further than our job descriptions with the aim of keeping you comfortable and graceful throughout this difficult stage of your life while supporting your family and friends in any way we can.

This may range from complex nursing care to that much needed cup of tea and a chat.

As a family-owned home, we treat each and every person as we would treat our own family.
